Adrie Visser is active as a track and road professional cyclist. Since
2009, Adrie her focus is mainly on the road.
In 2001 she exchanged her speed skating career for a career on the bike.
Her best results on skates were a second place at the Dutch
Championships for juniors C and two years later a fifth place in the
juniors B category.
On the track she won two bronze medals during world championship, two
World Cup scratch races and she captured one silver and four bronze
medals at world cups. Besides this she won thirteen times the Dutch
national title and three times a silver medal at the Dutch track
championships. And of course, Adrie started on the point race at the
Olympic Games in 2004, in that event she became 8th.
On the road, Adrie has different victories in criteriums, one day races
and jerseys at the Top-competition. As junior she won a silver medal
during the nationals. Of course the highest climax of her career was
winning the World Cup Ronde van Drenthe in 2007.
Since 2010, Adrie is part of cycling team HTC-Highroad. In 2010, Adrie
won two races in Thüringen Rundfahrt, and wear three days the yellow
Jersey in the toughest stage race Tour de L'Aude. During the world cup
races she finished three times top eight. In Tour of Flanders fifth, in
Ronde van Drenthe seventh and in Sweden she achieved two times silver.
One medal on the road race and one medal with the team time trial. In
the World Cup ranking she finished 9th and 20th at the UCI list.
